Management Consultant/West Memphis and Eastern Arkansas

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Conducting organizational assessments of existing small businesses
  • Financial modeling
  • Working one-on-one with businesses to implement recommendations
  • Facilitate strategic planning, financial, market and operations sessions with management and staff
  • Implement on-site financial and operations systems necessary for sustainable growth
  • Provide training to business owners and staff on new management systems
  • Get clients loan-ready

Qualifications include:

  • MBA
  • Strong financial management and strategic planning experience
  • Excellent facilitation, writing, computer and analysis skills
  • Ability to work in team setting and articulate vision and ideas
  • Passionate about social and economic justice
  • Entrepreneurial experience preferred
  • Must be willing to report to office in West Memphis on a daily basis.

Job Description
CFO/Compliance Officer

In this position the individual will have two main functions:

• Chief Financial Officer with Reporting

• Compliance Responsibilities


Responsibilities of CFO/Compliance Officer Include:

• Develop and manage the organization’s budget
• Update cashflow projections monthly
• Develop allocated Profit and Loss on a monthly basis and ensure breakeven
• Implement cost control measures as dictated by available funding
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable• Perform monthly bank reconciliation
• Quarterly compliance review for all grants• Perform monthly financial reporting to partners
• Perform monthly and quarterly financial and narrative reporting to federal agencies
• Perform quarterly reporting on loan funds• Reconciling QuickBooks with DownHome with respect to loan accounts
• Perform quarterly financial reporting to Board of Directors
• Participate in weekly loan committee calls• Actively participate in developing and implementing the strategic plan • Actively participate in strategy discussions with other managers
• Steward the mission and client values

Qualifications:

• MBA or CPA
• 5 plus years of fiscal management and reporting experience
• Cash flow management experience
• Non-profit accounting experience preferred
• Federal grant reporting experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
